Weekly Photo Challenge: Foreign — McDonald’s in Salzburg, Austria

McDonald’s in Salzburg, Austria…has flowers on the tables!Weekly Photo Challenge : Foreign

McDonald’s has flowers arrangement on its tables!  It is in Salzburg, not any place in the United States!

This post is in response to Weekly Photo Challenge : Foreign

The picture was taken in the “Old Town” of Salzburg, Austria.  Salzburg is the birthplace of Mozart and also part of the setting of the musical Sound of Music!  This is a very nice street which is internationally renowned for ts baroque architecture.   Suddenly, McDonald’s appeared among other small and cute little shops, among its baroque neighborhood!

What was special here?  If you look into the windows of the McDonald’s,  besides hamburgers, you can see some flower arrangements on the tables.  They might be a very simple flower in a vase, but it made McDonald’s different –more like a regular nice restaurant instead of a fast-food chain.    Well, you can tell from the decor inside, that this McDonald’s is located in a foreign place outside the United States!    Perhaps it is the other way round —  a  business like McDonald’s in Salzburg which is renowned for its baroque style architecture, seems a bit foreign to many people, including tourists!

You are right! Do you know that there is something called coconut tart in the KFC in China? That is so good! Unfortunately it is not available here!
